Zwirner Equipment Company is seeking a reliable General Laborer to join our growing company.
Duties Include
- Paint, polish, cleaning and assisting others in general duties of laborer
- Unload trucks, prepare tanks for painting, paint large tanks and silos, and set up equipment
- Follow project instructions from shop manager and supervisors
- Use of maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
- Safely operate a variety of tools including pressure washers, sandblasters, drills, saws, grinders, and blowtorches
- Provide assistance to other staff as needed
- Clean common areas of shop and office as required, such as break room, bathrooms and hallways and any other cleaning requests made by general, shop or office managers
- Must comply with all state and federal OSHA safety requirements and regulations at all times
Position is full time, Monday-Friday 7:30a – 4:00p, overtime as needed. Compensation is based on experience, and test of skill and knowledge may be required prior to hire.
General Requirements & Qualifications (All Positions)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must hold a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be comfortable climbing tall ladders and working at elevated levels
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Must have strong attendance
- MUST comply with all OSHA and TOSHA safety regulations and wear proper and regulated headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing at all times
- Industry training provided for most positions. No prior experience is required if you are ready to learn quickly and work hard.
