Zwirner Equipment Company is seeking a sandblasting technician.
Duties Include
- Work independently
- Able to lift 50 to 100 pounds
- Work in outdoor conditions (summer and winter included)
- Able to climb and work on a ladder or lift safely
- Responsible for sandblasting small and large silo style tanks
- Remove non-original items
- Cleaning and washing silo style tanks
- Air testing various processing equipment
- Flushing jackets on tanks
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Any additional shop and yard responsibilities as requested by General or Shop Operational Managers
- Must comply with all state and federal OSHA safety requirements and regulations at all times
Position is full time, Monday-Friday 7:30a – 4:00p, overtime as needed. Compensation is based on experience, and test of skill and knowledge may be required prior to hire.
General Requirements & Qualifications (All Positions)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must hold a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be comfortable climbing tall ladders and working at elevated levels
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Must have strong attendance
- MUST comply with all OSHA and TOSHA safety regulations and wear proper and regulated headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing at all times
- Industry training provided for most positions. No prior experience is required if you are ready to learn quickly and work hard.
